Terms & Conditions — Helper (BHS-Employed)

    Last Updated: 24 October 2026

These terms apply to helpers whose jobs are found, assigned, and managed by Beyond Home Services ("BHS"). BHS pays your salary and manages your engagement with customers.

    1. Acceptance & Scope

These Terms describe the standard conditions of engagement for helpers employed and placed by Beyond Home Services ("BHS", "we", "us") — maids, cooks, nannies, and similar domestic staff. They apply alongside, and are summarised by, the individual appointment letter each helper signs on joining. Where a figure in the appointment letter differs from this summary, the signed appointment letter governs.

These Terms are different from the Helper (App Listed) terms, which apply to helpers who list themselves on the BHS app and work with customers directly.

    2. Role & Work Scope

    • Position: Maid, Cook, Nanny, or a part/full-time helper role (8, 12, or 24 hours), as stated in the appointment letter.
    • Work scope: general cleaning, laundry, cooking, child care, and other household services as required by the assigned customer. A detailed task list is shared on joining.
    • Placement: BHS assigns the helper to a customer; the work schedule and timings follow the customer's requirements.

    3. Working Hours, Attendance & Leave

    • Hours: days and timings depend on the customer's requirements. A full-time helper is entitled to a lunch and a tea break, the timing mutually agreed with the customer.
    • Attendance: helpers log attendance daily through the BHS app. Planned leave must be notified to BHS and the customer in advance; emergency leave requires valid proof. Uninformed absence or lateness may result in a salary deduction.
    • Paid leave: a fixed number of paid leaves per month, as set out in the appointment letter. Leave beyond that allowance, if not approved, is unpaid.

    4. Salary & Compensation

    • Salary: paid monthly by BHS for the prior month's work, on the date stated in the appointment letter. Salary is adjusted for unapproved leave and late marks.
    • Overtime: work on a weekly off is compensated with either an additional day off or extra pay.
    • Retention allowance: BHS may provide a retention allowance, as stated in the appointment letter, as an incentive to maintain commitment and adherence to company policies. BHS may recover the retention allowance in full if the terms of the appointment are breached.

    5. Service Commitment

    • Observation period: a 3-day observation period lets both the helper and the customer decide on service continuity.
    • Security deposit: a one-time security deposit is held by BHS on commencement of employment, based on the helper's monthly salary bracket — ₹1,000 (salary ₹10,000 or less), ₹2,000 (₹10,001–₹20,000), or ₹3,000 (₹20,001 and above). The deposit is returned as a bonus after one year of continuous service. A helper who leaves before completing one year forfeits the deposit.
    • 6-month commitment: after the observation period, the helper commits to a minimum of six months with the same customer.
    • Notice: a helper leaving must give notice (via WhatsApp or email) as set out in the appointment letter. Leaving without notice may result in unpaid salary being held until the customer settles their payment to BHS. Genuine emergencies (e.g. medical), supported by proof, are exempt from this hold.

    6. Conduct, Hygiene & Professional Standards

Helpers agree to: wear clean attire and the provided uniform; maintain high standards of personal and work hygiene; not consume tobacco, gutka, masheri, or similar substances while working; complete assigned work within the allotted time; behave professionally and avoid unnecessary phone use or unrelated activity during work; and report any problem at work to BHS promptly.

    7. Uniform & Accessories

BHS issues a uniform and accessories (e.g. ID card, and for cooks a cap and napkin). On leaving BHS, the helper must return the uniform and accessories in good condition; a charge of ₹1,200 is deducted from the final payment if they are not returned.

    8. Health & Safety

Helpers follow safety protocols and use protective gear where necessary. Customers must provide a safe working environment, access to a washroom and drinking water, and meals for live-in staff.

    9. Misconduct, Termination & Blacklisting

    • BHS does not intervene in disputes or misconduct between customers and helpers; its role is limited to support with replacements, training, attendance, and payment management.
    • Either party may terminate the engagement on the notice stated in the appointment letter, or salary in lieu of notice. Immediate termination may occur for serious misconduct.
    • BHS may terminate service and blacklist any helper or customer involved in an unauthorised private arrangement made outside the BHS platform.

    10. Confidentiality & Direct Engagement

    • Helpers must not disclose customer information or BHS operational details to unauthorised persons.
    • A helper must not offer or accept a direct job from a customer bypassing BHS. Violation results in immediate termination, and the related salary will not be processed.
    • BHS is not liable for criminal acts (e.g. theft, altercations) involving helpers or customers; such cases must be reported to the police, and BHS will cooperate with the authorities. Verified offenders are blacklisted.
    • BHS operates Monday–Friday (9:30 AM–6:30 PM) and Saturday (10:00 AM–2:00 PM), and is closed on Sundays and public holidays. For urgent concerns outside these hours, the customer and helper hold each other's emergency contact numbers, strictly for safety and health emergencies.

    12. Changes; Contact

BHS may amend these Terms; the "Last Updated" date above indicates the current version. All disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pune, Maharashtra.
